Morning Glory Designs by Reeze Hanson
: A Quilter, a pattern designer, teacher and lecturer, and an entertaining speaker, Reeze L. Hanson formed her pattern company —Morning Glory Designs — in 2007. A life-long sewer and dressmaker, Reeze has been quilting for more than 20 years in addition to her day-job as a college professor of Speech in Lawrence, KS. Retired now from college teaching, Reeze designs and publishes her original quilt patterns, in addition to traveling as a professional speaker and teacher to guilds and shows around the country.
Reeze is a member of the Kaw Valley Quilt Guild and the Ottawa Piecemakers Quilt Guild. In addition she is on the board (and a member) of the Heartland Quilt Network of quilt professionals, guilds, and shops in the 6-state Midwestern region. She specializes in computer-based design using EQ7, and teaches classes in a wide variety of quilting skills and techniques. Her work is characterized by the “illusion of complexity” which can be accomplished using fast and easy techniques which makes quilting accessible to beginners as well as those with limited time.
