Techniques: Templates, Traditional Piecing
This is the first of six block patterns which make up the 2024 Block of the Month. Each block is pieced, and some will include small applique details.
Block 1 is cut from precise triangle templates. A clever technique to cut paper templates using tape, a ruler and a rotary cutter is included in the pattern. The background is black but any dark color tone on tone, solid or batik may be used. The pattern is fully illustrated in full color showing you step-by step assembly.
There are four large on-point center blocks, and 4 each of two different setting triangle blocks. One is entirely pieced and the other is entirely raw edge machine applique.
